The Lee CC Colts Winter Nets 2019

10 Feb 2019

Dear Parents

We are looking forward to another great season of cricket at The Lee! This summer we will have colts teams competing in competitions at the following age levels:

  • Under 9s (school Year 4)
  • Under 10s (school Year 5)
  • Under 11s (school Year 6)
  • Under 12s (School Year 7)
  • Under 13s (School Year 8)
  • Under 15s (School Year 10)
  • Under 18s & Under 19s

To prepare for the coming season we will once again be holding a winter programme of indoor nets for the U10, U11, U12 and U13 age groups over the next half term.

We will again use The Beacon School Sports Hall in Chesham Bois (HP6 5PF), which has 4 lanes.

Sessions will be on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 till 20:30 on these dates:

  • Wednesday 27th February
  • Wednesday 6th March
  • Wednesday 13th March
  • Wednesday 20th March
  • Wednesday 27th March
  • Wednesday 3rd April

To help cover the cost of the hall we are asking for a contribution of £20 per child for the whole programme. If you would like your child/children to attend Winter Nets please complete the attached form (including the Player Profile form) and send, along with a cheque made payable to The Lee Cricket Club, to:

Patrick Walsh, 2, Parkview Cottages, Missenden Road, Little Missenden, Amersham HP7 0RH

(or contact me if you would like to pay online or by cash)

As we will be training with hard balls, please ensure children bring a protective box to wear while batting.

It is also important that they bring their own cricket ball and bat, please. U10, U11 and U13 age groups all play with a junior 4 11/16 oz ball. If your child has full kit please make sure they bring everything with them. There will be club kit (pads, gloves and helmets) available though, if they are unable to bring their own.

Look forward to seeing you at the net sessions. If you have any queries at all, do please contact me.

Best wishes

Patrick Walsh
