Match report
This was technically an away match but it was played at The Lee, on a perfect sunny morning. The lads played well but were up against a good Chesham side who proved a bit too strong.

Sam won the toss and put Chesham in to bat. Matthew and Zach claimed early wickets and we managed to keep it pretty tight though the middle of the innings, including a maiden from Jack. When Charlie took 2 wickets in successive balls, the 2nd a great catch behind the stumps by Zach, things were looking very promising. Although Chesham then started hitting some boundaries, a wicket from Finn helped restrict their final score to 267.

Unfortunately our batting never really got going. Chesham had some good bowlers and were sharp in the field. We tried to push the scoring along but lost too many wickets leaning back and exposing the stumps to straight balls - something to work on in training next week! Our scoring rate was not far behind Chesham's but we lost 11 wickets in all and ended up with a total of 213.

There was plenty to take away from the game though, and it was great fun to be playing a good, competitive match in perfect conditions.
