The Lee CC Junior Cricket 2022 - Here we go!

04 May 2022

Hi everyone - Here we go!

A reminder that the start of Friday Night Kwik Cricket and Saturday Morning Colts is Friday 6th May and Saturday 7th May.

Friday Night Kwik Cricket (Year 1/U6 to Year 6/U11)

It will be the usual arrangement with the youngest age group (U6/U7) closest to entrance and the rest spaced out clockwise around the square with the U11’s in the far corner.

Please ensure players turn up on time (18.00 start), ready to take part in appropriate sports kit/footwear and with a water bottle.

We do ask that parents are around for the duration of the coaching and please introduce yourself to the coaches. If for some reason this is not the case, please ensure the coaches are aware and know who is responsible for your child.

We are always looking out for and need more volunteers to help with coaching, especially with the younger age groups. If you are interested, please let me know.

Saturday Morning Colts (Year 5/U10 to Year 10/U15)

A reminder we are splitting the age groups this year between The Lee CC and Little Missenden Misfits CC (Highmoor Field, Penfold Lane, Little Missenden, HP7 0QU) and will then alternate each week. Usual start time of 10.00.

Team managers will have made you aware, but for the first week (7th May) the locations will be:

  • U10 to U12 – The Lee CC
  • U13 to U15 – Little Missenden Misfits CC

The Chiltern Cluster

The Chiltern Cluster is running again as a joint effort between four local clubs to provide all girl cricket for those who might enjoy it. It is as-well-as, not instead of, practicing and playing mixed cricket with their home club and the idea is that the girls can do as much or as little of each as they want.

For further details please contact Patrick Walsh (patrick_a_walsh@hotmail.co.uk) or Neil Hollister (nhollister@btinternet.com).

Kit Swap / Kit

We will run a kit shop / swap where players can pick up some outgrown kit from the older age groups. Our U14 Leaders in Cricket will run this. If you have any kit that could be donated, please bring it along and look out for a bargain!

For those playing in matches we would request that cricket whites are worn.

For club kit we use Chiltern Sports https://www.chilternsports.co.uk/ (The Bucks Goat Centre, Old Risborough Road, Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury, HP22 5XJ – Tel 01296 613399) where shirts, hoodies, training tops etc can be ordered. They are very knowledgeable, have a good selection of equipment to work with your budget and offer advice on the fit of bats etc. Don’t forget to mention you are from The Lee CC if you do visit them!
