The Lee Cricket Club - Fantasy Cricket

Fantasy Cricket Competition - 2017

This season, The Lee Cricket Club is running an online Fantasy Cricket competition (entry to this is available to all club members) based on the performances of all players participating in senior matches throughout the season! It’s your chance to select a dream team, compete against other Managers and win prize money!

The game has gone into the system see the results here - http://the-lee.fantasyclubcricket.co.uk/team-standings

What is it?

Fantasy Club cricket is based on the concept of fantasy football, and similar games, whereby participants (Managers) select players to comprise their fantasy team, and throughout the course of the season, those players accumulate points. The most successful manager is the one whose team accumulates the most combined points throughout the season.

What Does it Cost?

We have set entry fees at £5 per team – with half of the money collected going to the club, and the other half going into the cash prize pot – with at least the top three Managers winning prize money. The more entrants, the more places will be paid, and the more you stand to win!

Entry fees will be collected through the first few weeks of the season – you’ll be contacted with advice on how to do this via email once you’ve registered your team. If you’ve not paid by 31 st May your team will be removed from the competition.

How Do You Play?

In order to play – please go to the following website: http://the-lee.fantasyclubcricket.co.uk/

Here, you will be able to create an account (select “Create Account” at the top right of the screen) by entering your name, email address and password.

Once you’ve created your account, you will be prompted to select your team – comprising 2 Batters, 2 Bowlers, 1 All-rounder and 1 Keeper. You’ll need to bear in mind that players have each been attributed values, and so you’re selections need to stay within the £30m budget cap!

Points will be scored as follows:

Batting

Bowling

Fielding

1 point per run

10 points for a not out

20 points for scoring 50+ runs

40 points for scoring 100+ runs

-20 points for scoring a duck

15 points per wicket taken

30 points for taking 5+ wickets

3 points per maiden

-20 points for conceding 50+ runs (for 0 wkts)

10 points per catch

15 points per stumping

20 points per run out

All players, regardless of their position, will score points across all categories – i.e. those listed as batters, will score bowling points if they bowl, and vice versa. Points will be scored for all Senior matches (including Sunday friendlies) during the course of the league season – so scoring will commence from the first league weekend (Saturday 30 rd April) and finish after the last league weekend on the 4 th September, although entries to the competition will remain open throughout the season.
