Match report The match against Gerrards Cross B was played on a cool grey evening at The Thorpe House school playing field. John G was the captain for this game, and he won the toss and elected to bat first. He opened with Isaac, and the pair of them played some excellent shots without giving any chances away. John eventually retired on 31 not out, including three boundaries, whilst Isaac eventually fell just short on 24 getting stumped when coming down the track trying to hit some late runs. Kilian and Finn were the other two to bat, and both scored a few runs. With all the extras our score added up to an impressive 134 from our 20 overs.

Kilian opened the bowling, and clean bowled both of their openers in his first two overs. However, their next two batsmen were more resilient, and hit some big shots (including one towering six), but we were very tight in the field and prevented any easy runs. Once their number 3 had retired not out on 30 the opposition innings lost its momentum, and the wickets started to tumble. Finn got two, John got one (a great catch by Isaac) and Oli Mac ended up with a very impressive 3 wickets for 13 runs from just two overs! There was also some great bowling from James, Charlie, Oliver T and Oli R, and great work in the field from everyone, especially some crucial stops from Zac and tidy work behind the stumps by Robert.

The fantastic performance in the field left GX on 117-8 from their twenty overs - a victory for The Lee by 17 runs. Well done boys!
