Match report After winning the toss, Rob elected to bowl first partly due to the minefield the pitch had been at the weekend and partly to do with Galvin telling me to.

The Amersham openers got off to a shakey start losing their first wicket via a Max Hutt express delivery. Despite this, their number 3 came in all guns blazing and scored a rapid 50 along with the other opener. Both fell to the magnificient bowling of Will Young on debut, Will decided to roll back the years and play some colts cricket once again. Will bowled tightly claiming figures of 3 for 34 off 4 overs supported by Rob who took 1 for 34 off 4. A few loose overs from others meant Amersham reached a big total of 240, we only had 9 players however so not a true reflection of our bowling and fielding efforts.

Max and Will opened up the batting and got off to a flyer scoring 40 runs off the first 2 overs. Max was caught after scoring 23 in a knock which included 2 big sixes. Will was joined by Rob at the crease. Will went on to score an unbeaten 50 not out, retiring to give others a go. His 50 included 9 fours and a filthy, if not inappropriate ramp. Rob scored 33 including 5 fours before being bowled by their crafty off-spinner who took 4 wickets. After the top 3, no one managed to get into double figures, honourable mentions go to Sachin and Abdul for getting goldens and Galvin for hitting a four and proceeding to celebrate accordingly. After about 5 overs light declined rapidly making it very hard to see! We managed to scrape to 132 before losing all 8 wickets.

In the end, it was good game played right into the pitch black almost! A thouroughly enjoyable season has come to an end! Thank you to all the boys and parents for making it such a great team to be a part of!
