The first game of cricket was played on The Lee Manor Park Ground in 1875, and only a new pavilion and the maturing of several oak trees dotted around the boundaries have changed the outlook since then. The cows in the neighbouring field often come right up to the boundary fence to watch the matches!

After over a century of playing friendly fixtures, in 1999 the club decided to play league cricket for the first time and joined the Kookaburra Mid Bucks Village League. We rapidly gained promotion from Division 2 to Division 1 and then played several seasons in the Premier league. Today, the club continues to combine Saturday league cricket with traditional friendly games played on Sundays. In 2014 we joined the Morrant Chilterns League and the First XI now play in the Chilterns & Mid-Bucks Premiership, and the Second XI in Division 2.

In addition to senior cricket, the club also runs a hugely successful junior “colts” section, with over 120 girls and boys attending either Friday night softball training (very popular with parents too, with a BBQ and bar running every week) or Saturday morning hardball sessions.

This season we have junior squads with fixtures at every age group from Under 9 to Under 17, as well as an Under 18 T20 team. Several of our junior members are also involved in the Bucks Cricket pathway and have represented the county at various levels, and we also have junior players participating in the MCC Foundation Hub programme.

The Lee CC is also a proud member - in partnership with Chesham CC and Amersham CC - of the Chilterns Girls’ Cricket Cluster, offering all-girl softball and hardball training, along with friendly and league fixtures to girls who are members at one of the three clubs. Many of our girls continue to play mixed-gender cricket alongside all-girls cricket, and some of the older girls play women’s cricket (the pathway sees them playing for Chesham Women's XI once they are ready) and for The Lee senior teams alongside their age group fixtures.

We encourage all our players, from the youngest to the eldest, to enjoy their cricket and to play the game in the right spirit, being competitive as well as fair and sporting. We are a sociable, inclusive, family-oriented club and welcome new members of all abilities and ages.
If you would like to know more, please Contact us or Register to play.

The Lee CC is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Reg No 2914 and is affiliated to Morrant Chilterns Cricket League / Buckinghamshire Cricket Board / National Cricket Association / Club Cricket Conference
