The colts league season is normally crammed into a hectic spell between May and mid July - which this year was blown away by lockdown...but our coaches did a magnificent job of arranging a whole series of friendly matches for each age group in an even more hectic period between mid-July and mid-September. As a result most of the teams actually played MORE matches than they would have done in a normal season!
Playing only local derbies meant that we were often playing teams who would normally be a division or two above us - but that didn't stop us putting in some excellent performances and acquitting ourselves well.
All of the colts had a great time and enjoyed their cricket. The winners of the trophies for each are group are as follows:

Particular mention must go to Jasper Corner, winner of the Glanfield Fair Play Trophy. This award was donated many years ago by the late John Glanfield, who was one of our vice-presidents. He was passionate about the game and that it should be played in the right spirit. The trophy is awarded each year to the colt who, in the coaches view, best demonstrates the right way to play the game. Jasper's coach, Rob Pickles, noted that he always listens very carefully and tries very hard with his batting, bowling and fielding, and is an example of how to play the game in the right spirit.
