Afternoon ##firstname##
I hope this email finds you well. Sadly, we are into the last 4 playing weeks of the 2026 cricket season.
However, this has been another record breaking season both on and off the pitch and I hope you have
all been able to enjoy the summer that we have had together as a club.
As is tradition, we will be holding our annual Golf Day and End of Season Dinner on Saturday 26th September 2026.
Firstly, the Golf Day:
This will be returning to Chartridge Park Golf Club this year and we have secured 10 tee-times from 11am
along with bacon rolls and coffee beforehand.
This will be at a cost of £45 per person (or £30 per U18) unless you are already a member of CPGC (please notify)
We would also like monies paid to the club via Bank Transfer upon registration so that we can pay the Golf Club.
(You will be contacted after the closing date for registrations of Saturday 19th Sept 18:00, to confirm your
place(s) and request payment)
For a slight change in the way we will be playing it, we will be moving to a Florida Scramble Event.
This means that as with Texas Scramble, you all tee off from the tee, you will then select the shot you wish
to use (4 drives must be used from each player). The person who's drive has been taken, will not play the next shot,
this means you (as a team) need to think carefully about the shot you take as you may want your
'better player's' shot for the next shot so needing to take a different drive. This repeats until you are on the
green where all 4 return to putt.
(The player who's shot was taken sits out the next shot only and returns subsequently until their shot is taken again)
This method of play ensures that all players shots are important and that one player cannot dominate holes.
If you wish to participate in the golf day, please complete the form below. (You can apply as a team/individual)
(Closing date for registrations Saturday 19th September @ 18:00)

Secondly, the End of Season Dinner:
This again, will be returning to the pavilion this year with a Howard Stockdale - 'Braai' Lamb.
Clubhouse will be open from 19:30 so we can be ready to eat around 20:00.
Cost per person for this will be £20 or £10 for juniors. (Ideally paid by Bank Transfer prior to event)
(You will be contacted after the closing date for registrations of Saturday 19th Sept 18:00, to confirm your
place(s) and request payment)
After the meal we will have the customary speeches from myself and the Captains along with the presentation
of the End of Season Awards.
We would like to see as many of you as possible but we are restricted to numbers due to the size of the pavilion
so please get your responses in early.
(We would encourage all players who have played senior (1st, 2nd, Sunday) cricket to attend as you
never know if you have been nominated/selected as an award winner).
If you wish to attend the End of Season Dinner, please complete the form below. (There are options for
additional guests to be added to the form rather than everyone needing to do so individually)
(Closing date for registrations Saturday 19th September @ 18:00)
