Match report A cracking game on a beautifully warm clear evening at The Lee. Skipper for the match Olly Tebbs won the toss and elected to bowl first (despite the heat). The Haddenham openers set off at pace, and raced to 38 in the first four overs before Ben bowled their No 2. Their other opener and their number both ended up retiring on 30 not out, and the score was an ominous looking 87 for 2 at the half way point. However a drinks break re-energised our team in the field, and wickets tumbled. There was some very tidy bowling, especially from Jasper, James, Zac and Olly T at the end to restrict Haddenham to a moderate total of 114/6 after their 20 overs.
Olly T and Ben opened the batting for The Lee. Olly played the anchor role superbly, whilst Ben set about demolishing their attack, scoring a quickfire 30 not out (including five 4's and a 6) before his mandatory retirement. There was then a flurry of boundaries from Robert, Henry and James, and a superb innings of 18 (including a 4 and two mighty 6's) from Harry. We raced to a winning total of 115 after just 14.3 overs.
We are now top of the division with one game remaining! Well done boys for a fantastic all round team performance.
