Match report Missing 5 of our regular starters, this was always going to be a tough ask against a strong Holmer Green team, who won the toss and elected to bat.

Opening for The Lee, our guest U10 Zach showed how it's done by following a maiden with a wicket in his 2nd over, going on to execute a terrific run out and hold a sharp catch. Sammy and Sam C pitched in with wickets but 3 of the opposition batters retired not out on 31 and the team's big total of 147 included 16 fours and 5 sixes.

Sammy and Joe departed quickly at the start of The Lee's reply, but Sam H and Barney, then Tommy, played nice innings dotted with boundaries. The Holmer Green bowling and fielding was too strong for us to really score well though, and our last batter was out in the final over with us still 59 runs adrift.

We were beaten by the stronger team but the boys can be proud, especially given that we only fielded four U13s, the team being bolstered by six U12s and an U10
