Hi everyone,
The 2018 Annual General Meeting of the club will take place on Monday 19th February, 8pm at the club house (note that this is a week later than previously announced to avoid a clash with half term).
The AGM is open to all club members, and is your opportunity to hear what is going on at the club, and have a say in our plans for the coming season.
There are a number of committee positions becoming available, and we would welcome nominations for the following positions:
Honorary Treasurer - Michelle Yeabsley has continued to fill this role during a long search for a successor. We have simplified the role by making much more of the processing electronic, so this role would really suit someone who is good with spreadsheets. Michelle will train up her successor, and will assist with the preparation of the annual accounts.
Head of Colts - Martin Price has been doing this job for quite a few years now, and we need one of the parents of existing colts to step into this role - the key responsibilities are ensuring that the colts training and fixtures are organised and staffed.
Child Welfare Officer - This person needs to make sure our club policies are up to date with the latest ECB guidelines, and that our coaches, captains and umpires have the necessary checks
1st XI Captain - Jake Hutt has stepped down from this key role after several seasons in charge (well done Jake!) so we need a new person to select the team and manage the on-field affairs. The recently revised MCC laws of cricket now place even greater emphasis on the captains to maintain the discipline of their teams, so this is a key role.
